Men and women have sought magic routes to beauty since ancient times, and in no other area is the quest more pronounced than when it comes to body shape. In the past, men loved really fat women but today, men want women to be thin. Women, on the other hand women prefer muscular men., sending women to diets and men to lift weights.

As a result, some fad diets and exercise plans have taken the world by storm such as the blood type diet, the atkins diet, and the south beach diet.

Do they work? Well I suppose any diet can work as long as they are well balanced, easy to follow, and sensible.

Detox is a natural way of removing toxins from the body. These toxins or anything else that can harm body tissue are transformed chemically to less harmful compounds and excreted via stools or urine.

Sources of toxins include those produced in the body during normal functions, such as the ammonia produced during the breakdown of protein, and chemicals such as pesticides, household cleaners, food additives, drugs, pollution, cigarette smoke, and heavy metals like lead that enter the body when we ingest or inhale them.

There are many different types of detox diets. Generally, a detox diet is a short-term diet that minimizes the amount of chemicals ingested, emphasizes foods that provide the vitamins the body needs for detoxification, and contains foods that draw out and eliminate toxins by increasing the frequency of bowel movements and urination.

Cutting Calories Doesn’t Always Work

Why is it that some people are naturally overweight while others are thin while eating a lot more each day?

Sometimes, the best way to cure obesity is not by cutting calories. It’s by cutting the wrong kind of calories.

Certain types of food can accelerate weight gain such as simple sugars or bad fats. If you have trouble loosing weight, you need to decrease the amount of processed carbs and saturated fats. Instead you need to substitute in complex carbs and healthy fats.
